Kožichovice farm

“Thanks to the AMiT system and the LOOKDET dispatching center, we’ve achieved something unique. Our entire complex energy system essentially runs itself, and we only need three people with mobile phones to maintain the whole site. We are not only energy self-sufficient but can even supply energy to nearby operations. It’s a robust and fully automated solution that allows us to focus on growing tomatoes, not on monitoring technology.”

Energy Self-Sufficiency and Ecology Powered by AMiT Control

Kožichovice Farm is a prime example of how modern technology can create a highly efficient and ecological operation. An AMiT control system was chosen to manage the complex energy system, which includes combined heat and power (CHP) units, heat pumps, a biomass boiler, and accumulation tanks. The AMiT solution ensures the perfect synergy of all technologies. The result is not only complete energy self-sufficiency but also the sale of surplus energy to the surrounding area. The project is unique in its approach to ecology: CO₂ from flue gases is used for plant growth, rainwater is used for irrigation, and wood waste becomes fuel.

The greatest proof of efficiency is the fact that the entire site is operated by only three technicians. Thanks to the LOOKDET central dispatching center and its mobile application, they have a constant overview and full control of the system from anywhere, at any time.

Customer: Kožichovice Farm (produces up to 1,200 tons of tomatoes annually)

Project: Comprehensive management of the energy economy and technologies on site.

Need: To efficiently manage a large number of diverse energy sources (heat, cold, electricity), achieve energy self-sufficiency, and ensure a highly ecological and automated operation with minimal staffing requirements.

Solution: AMiT control systems (Adis), LOOKDET central dispatching center with a web application, AMR-OP87 local operator panel.

Controlled Technologies: 4 CHP units, refrigeration stations, a gas heat pump, a biomass boiler, accumulation tanks (heat/cold), circulation pumps, and more.

Key Benefits:

  • Energy Self-Sufficiency and Surplus: The farm not only produces all the energy it needs but is also able to supply surplus energy to nearby operations.
  • Extreme Operational Efficiency: The maintenance of the entire complex site is handled by just 3 people, thanks to complete automation and remote management via mobile phones.
  • Unique Ecological Solution (Circular Economy): The system uses CO₂ from flue gases for tomato photosynthesis, collects and purifies rainwater for irrigation, and burns wooden crates as biomass.
  • Complete Remote Management: The LOOKDET dispatching center provides a perfect overview and allows full control over all technologies from a mobile phone or computer.
